Motiftools.org's broad mission to improve the productivity of these UI developers is accomplished through timely dissemination of evaluated processes, methods, libraries, patterns, documentation, and tutorials.

A secondary mission is to promote functionality, quality, extension, and ease of use for Xmt together with sister projects Xmt++, and Xmt-Taskmaster. Motiftools.org is actively engaged in software development coordination of all three projects in an open source collaborative team environment in order to satisfy this secondary mission.

• Support UI developers in applying best practices and processes.
• Extend the widget set available in Xmt.
• Provide educational information related to UI software development.
